There's more than one honest way into IT.
Becoming IT is for people who are curious about tech but don't see themselves in the usual career advice. Maybe you're working retail, customer service, or in a warehouse, doing real work with real people, and wondering if there's a path into something steadier. Something that pays better. Something you might actually enjoy.
There is. I know because I walked it.
I didn't start in IT. I started in the Army, where I became "the computer guy" by volunteering to fix things nobody else wanted to touch. That turned into a job rolling printers across a warehouse parking lot, which turned into a help desk contract, which turned into remote support, which turned into where I am now: systems administrator and database administrator.
Nobody handed me a roadmap. I'm writing the one I wish I'd had.
